We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that The Berkshire Community Foundation has awarded us a generous grant of £2,500 to support our beginner English conversation classes for migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking women. This funding is a lifeline for many women in our community, enabling them to build confidence, improve communication skills, and integrate more easily into daily life in the UK.
For many of the women we support, language is one of the biggest barriers to independence. Without basic English skills, tasks like visiting the doctor, speaking with their child’s teacher, or even shopping for essentials can feel overwhelming. Our conversation classes provide a safe, welcoming space where women can practice English in a supportive and friendly environment, free from fear or judgment.
This grant will help us cover essential costs, such as experienced tutors and creche support, ensuring we can continue to offer these classes to those who need them most. More than just learning a language, these sessions foster friendships, empowerment, and a strong sense of belonging—helping women feel more at home in their new communities.
We are incredibly grateful to The Berkshire Community Foundation for their invaluable support. Their generosity will make a lasting impact, giving women the tools they need to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us make a real difference in so many lives!
