We are incredibly grateful to AwesomeBooks – and especially to Sannah Maan, Head of Impact and Giving – for reaching out to RCLC and generously donating a wonderful collection of children’s books for our crèche.
AwesomeBooks is passionate about giving preloved books a new life and making books accessible to everyone. This is something that means a great deal to us. For some of the families we support, buying children’s books can be an additional cost they simply cannot prioritise, so having good-quality books available both at RCLC and at home can make a real difference.
The books are already being enjoyed in our crèche, helping our babies and young children aged 4 months to 4 years explore stories, pictures and words. Reading and sharing books from an early age can support language development, vocabulary, imagination and curiosity – and, importantly, help children develop a lifelong love of reading.
We want that enjoyment to continue at home too, so every child attending our crèche will be given a book as a present at the end of each term to take home and keep as their very own. 📖✨
