Empowering Tomorrow’s Volunteers: Hosting Work Experience Students from the Holt 6TH Form at RCLC

We are thrilled to announce that we opened our doors to a pair of talented work experience students from the Holt 6th Form in Wokingham. As an educational charity, we have always believed in the power of education to transform lives, and this exciting initiative reflects our commitment to providing opportunities for all, especially those from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Refugee, and Asylum Seeker (BAMER) communities.

Our work experience program aims to offer valuable insights and hands-on experience to young individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the world. We understand that access to opportunities can sometimes be limited, especially for those facing various challenges, and we are dedicated to breaking down those barriers.

The students joined us in various departments, including education, administration, creche, policy research, communications, and more. Their fresh ideas and unique insights will undoubtedly enrich our work and help us better serve our community.

As a BAMER migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking educational charity, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.

Quote from Aisha Malik Manger RCLC:

“It was a real pleasure to have our amazing work experience students, Maryum and Anhul as part of the RCLC family for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed them being part of the team and would like to express the gratitude from all the staff in saying how great they were at supporting the vulnerable learners and children in the Centre. I hope that this experience really gave you an insight into the skills, compassion and empathy needed work in the Charity sector- which I think you would be wonderful at.”
